ACC Farming Incubator
Visual Identity & Brand System Design
The Austin Community College Farm Incubator Program supports a new wave of environmentally conscious growers by providing education, land, and resources. The visual identity was designed to be both modern and approachable, successfully merging symbols of academic structure and regenerative farming into a cohesive brand system that clearly communicates the program's dual focus on learning and growth.
The initial phase began with conceptual exploration to define the brand's desired tone and aesthetic. A mood board established the visual foundation, emphasizing a natural color palette that combined earthy greens and browns with bright accents of yellow and orange to evoke growth and optimism. This foundation guided the creation of three distinct, low-fidelity logo concepts, each testing a different visual approach—from traditional farm imagery to regenerative innovation—to determine which direction best balanced the necessary professionalism and modern approachability.
Following approval, the final design was systemized into a comprehensive brand guide, ensuring the identity is professional, scalable, and easy to use across all platforms.
Versatile Assets: I delivered a complete set of logo variations, including the Full Lockup for primary use, the Logomark for small applications (like social media), and the Wordmark for legibility in large spaces. This flexibility ensures the brand always looks professional, regardless of the medium.
Defined Color Palette: The core identity is built on a spectrum of greens and orange, directly tying the visual aesthetic to the program’s mission of regeneration and harvest. All color codes (RGB/CMYK/HEX) were defined to guarantee consistency from digital screens to print collateral.
Integrity Rules: Clear, non-negotiable rules for minimum sizing and clear space were established. This ensures the logo maintains visual impact and legibility, preventing misuse that could dilute the brand's professionalism.
ACC FEST
Event Branding & Environmental Design
I led the branding, wayfinding, and environmental design for ACC Fest 2018, a major career exploration festival designed to showcase the college's diverse areas of study and programs. The goal was to transform the campus into an intuitive and exciting environment, supporting over 1,000 students from across Central Texas as they navigated live demonstrations and interacted with faculty. This large-scale design effort was critical in creating a memorable, cohesive, and easily navigable experience for attendees, ensuring maximum engagement and successful exploration of ACC's educational offerings.
Visual Communication & Marketing Collateral
I developed a flexible series of promotional posters and campaign materials for diverse Austin Community College initiatives.
My strategy centered on creating visually cohesive and high-impact communications, utilizing bold geometric design and high-contrast color palettes to ensure maximum visibility and student engagement across the busy campus environment.
By emphasizing clear visual hierarchy and dynamic compositions, I successfully created a system of promotion that quickly conveys essential information while reinforcing the college’s consistent, modern, and energetic brand identity across various student touchpoints.
